Layne Dreyar
    Out of the siblings, Layne is the eldest and specializes in Electric Dragon Slayer Magic. Like his father, Layne possesses a Dragon Lacrima and, in addition with inheriting his father's Magic, he also has an incredible amount of Magic Power from both parents. He became an S-Class Mage a year after his cousin, Mason Dragneel, having lost to the latter in a one-on-one battle and prompting Layne to train for a full year with Laxus.
    Personality-wise, many claim that he acts like Laxus. He's easily-triggered, aloof, and will not hesitate to call out people for insulting him. However, Layne is responsible and incredibly good-humored, due to his tendency to speak with sarcasm. However, he also possesses some of his mother's traits, like an unwavering affection for his guild mates and comrades, along with loathing the idea of betrayal. Layne can even be quite head-strong and reckless, subconsciously causing widespread destruction on missions, and making Natsu joke that Layne takes after him. Atala claims he's much more of a momma's boy, saying that, if Atala was away on a mission or running errands, Layne would give Laxus a hard time until she returned home.
    Initially, after the birth of his younger sister, Akila, Layne felt as if they cherished her more than himself, which caused him to drift from his family when he was about 7-8. He had convinced himself that he disliked Akila and even went as far as to tease her when their parents weren't around. This all changed when Akila and Layne went with Atala out into town (Layne was 9, Akila was 7) and Akila was teased for her "weird eyes". Layne's anger had formed a small crater in the cement as he shouted at the other children and even threatened them (as Atala stood back, pretending to be interested in a bouquet of flowers, but actually feeling quite proud of Layne). Since then, Layne has been very protective and fond of his younger sister.

Akila Dreyar
    Akila is the younger sister of Layne Dreyar and inherited her mother's ability to perform Phoenix Slayer Magic, though she did not have a Phoenix herself to raise her. In addition to her Phoenix Slayer Magic, Akila can channel electricity throughout her body and can utilize it during close combat. She also inherited large amounts of Magic Power from both of her parents, though she has yet to be made an S-Class Mage.
    Akila is very kind and has a big-heart. She's incredibly accepting and, in fact, many people use her for her generosity, which results in her cousins, plus her brother, getting quite angry with the offender and Akila for being too nice. However, she believes that one should always see the good in people, even if they don't deserve it because she believes that's why her mother fell in love with her father in the first place. Akila is a hopeless romantic, always dreaming about the future and who she would marry and whatnots, all because of her certain attachment to romance novels. She is also known to be very impatient; she wants results right away and she can't stand it when things don't go as planned, either. Despite the stories she's heard in the past, Akila is very proud of her father for changing to the man he is now and prides herself over being daddy's little girl.
    Though she has no reason to be over-protective of Layne, she is actually quite possessive of her older brother and her cousins, especially Ciella Dragneel, seeing as she's the only other girl in their family. Akila will firmly state that none of them are allowed to go on a first date unless she meets the other. If she "ships" them together, then she will give them the green light. However, that doesn't stop her from spying with the others to see how the date goes and, if needed, losing her temper if something goes wrong.
